Bags
The stories behind our bags
The Large Carolyn
Inspired by a friend who wanted a bag to tote her computer to and from work - along with the ancillary things she carries in and out of the city and on the subway each day - but not so big that it became a black hole. She wanted a bag with personality and that made her smile, but was still practical. She needed a zipper to keep everything secure and an outside pocket she could slide her phone into when she needed to be hands free. What we came up with reminded us of the style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who appeared in life to be stylish but practical, serious but fun. We used our unlined pebble leather in saturated colors because it is light but sturdy, unfussy and yet full of personality. Thick handles give it heft and can take a day of running around on errands or from meeting to meeting either on your shoulder or in hand.
The Small Carolyn
Echoing the style of her larger counterpart, and with a detachable strap to make her hands-free when you need it, the small Carolyn is still large enough to store a day’s necessities, and with a zipper to keep your things secure. We made her in solid, saturated colors to add personality to any outfit without taking over. A dopamine hit of color on a grey day.
The Talitha
Rock and roll but not too, the Talitha is the perfect mix of Bohemia and pearls. Her namesake, Talitha Pol Getty defined bohemian sensibility with European flair in the late 60’s. Her soft, undulating body in textured pebble leather is the perfect foil for her whipstitched handles and fringe. Talitha Pol knew how to be elegant and relaxed at the same time, incorporating the artisanal on a base of European style. She makes sure, even on your most blah of days, that you feel uplifted in the swish of her fringe. The saturated colors we choose keep her modern and walk the line between dressed up and casual.
