Our Products
At The Furies, we don’t just design beautiful leather handbags and accessories. We create products that showcase natural materials and use hand-finishing techniques to promote a more sustainable, community-centric fashion industry. We adhere to a number of the guiding principles of ‘slow fashion’ – valuing quality over quantity, using natural materials and eco-friendly processes and developing a connection to one’s purchases, whether emotional or cultural.
Our products are lovingly made and hand-finished in Argentina in a third generation, family-run workshop. Time-worn leather-making techniques ensure quality manufacturing to lengthen the life of our products. By giving animal hides a second life as leather, local leather working supports a more circular economic model in the communities where we base our production.
We use leather from local tanneries certified by The Leather Working Group, which maintains an Environmental Audit Protocol that promotes sustainable business practices within the leather industry, and ensures compliance along measures such as traceability, energy & water consumption, waste management & effluent treatment.
